Okay, so I just finished the first book in this series. I have to say it is pretty addicting and the best part about books like this is, at first you don't feel like you are addicted. I know how that sounds but I'll try to explain. So you pick up a book and you start reading and you're like okay this is a good book, but you can put it down and you do. This is the part where it sneaks up on you. So you put the book down, and start going about your day and then without warning all the sudden the little you have read of the book starts to drift into you mind and you are like, hmmm wait a second. What is going to happen in the book? And you mind starts connecting what you've read and by the end of the day you realize you are addicted. I almost prefer books like this that pull you in without you realizing it. I mean don't get me wrong books that you automatically can't put down are great. They are almost like the romantic tales of love at first sight. From the moment you start reading you know you have fallen in love. But the love that sneaks up on you I almost think is better because you get that moment where you are like, wow this happened. Yes I'm still talking about books. lol But I have to say I was introduced to Cambria Hebert books by one of my best friends and I am very grateful. Which I will talk about her other books I've already read later.
So back to this book, will there be spoilers probably not. So anyways back to Amnesia.
Like all of Cambria's books I've read she goes back and forth between her two main characters: Edward and Amnesia (not her real name). I truly enjoyed this book and am excited to start the second book Amnesty. It is kind of funny, usually I read books where the main character is female, yes I'm a little sexist! I have nothing against main male characters and don't get me wrong I'll read books with main male characters I just prefer females. :: shrugs :: But besides that, it is kind of funny. Most the time in Cambria's books I prefer the male character over the female. Why I have no idea, I don't know if it is the way Cambria writes them or maybe its because sadly the male species in reality don't ever compare. Do not get me wrong there are a number of guys out there who still can match the men in books, but most of them are either worlds away, married, dead, or gay.... So if you are a male actually reading this I'm sure you are one of the exceptions. ^,^ Don't get me wrong the women of the world aren't any better. It is a society problem not one sex or the other. Moving on, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and mystery. Not mystery as in who did it, but more of who is Amnesia really and will we ever find out what really happened 11 years ago on the lake? Okay maybe there will be spoilers a little I mean I gotta get this stuff out. lol

So maybe spoilers or not I don't know I'm just going to be talking about the book more in-depth so you have been warned!!!!!
Amnesia, who is she??? So a number of things have come across my mind regarding her. First of course in the beginning it was hinted that Edward thought she was some lost love, which of course it takes til almost the end of the book to get the story of what happened 11 years ago and who he had hoped and thought she could possibly be. So a lot of things pointed to her being the girl Sadie. Of course there were a few things that pointed that maybe she wasn't Sadie but even with that there were explanations as to the differences. Such as allergies, when you get older sometimes they develop even if you didn't have them as a child and some fears people overcome but mostly with the fear she has amnesia. Pretty sure if you don't know you are afraid of something you aren't going to be afraid especially if you were afraid because of a certain experiences which by the way you don't remember. lol So when she had her first memory come back and she heard a name I had two different thoughts. I watch and read a lot of different kind of movies, tv shows, and books. So my mind is racing in a few different directions. The first direction at first was maybe she wasn't Sadie but really another girl trapped with the real Sadie. Which is possible but later on it becomes less likely because if there was another girl with her then why would the man be so determined to have Ms. West go and bring her back unless, out of the two girls he liked her best for her hair, what a weirdo.... Anyways then the obvious route was yes, she was the long lost love of Edward and the town Sadie. So if we go with she isn't Sadie the other possibility is that she "became Sadie" as in she had been there but ended up dying and they somehow captured another girl Amnesia and she "became Sadie" to replace the original Sadie. Yes I know that is a little out there but hey it could be an option lol. So moving on from Sadie and Amnesia and onto the mystery creeps from Rumor Island.
So maybe the rumors of the island aren't so much of rumors but of fact. See, the screams could have easily been people the creepy people (Ms. West and the man) had kept and abused. Right now my thoughts are that the man is Ms. West twisted and demented son. Who she has hid from the world because obviously he is mean for death row. Which would explain why she hardly comes off the island because probably before he captured girls he probably abused her. As was obvious at the end of the book he beat her while Amnesia was away. So unfortunately the only way we are going to find anything out is if Amnesia starts to remember which I am not excited about because I really hate rape. All aspects of it, even the insinuation of it. It isn't like Ms. West is going to say anything she is very protective of this man she has concealed from the world. My question is why do the police suck so bad at this little town. I mean I understand the island is probably not the easiest to search and I'm sure while they are in one area there are plenty of hiding places for that sociopath to hide. I mean this isn't Ms. West first rodeo I'm pretty sure she is a pro. I still kind of feel bad for you. I mean when it is your blood and you are abused it isn't easy to do the hard thing. We all like to think we'd be brave and be able to make the right choice but sadly life isn't that easy and we have no idea what she's gone through. Now if it turns out she is the one who created this monster of a man she has been hiding then she deserves all the hell that has been brought upon herself. So that is where we are waiting to see who Amnesia is, and if she is we will find out what happened to Sadie, and if she isn't well maybe we might still find out what happened to Sadie, who the hell is the creepy man on Rumor Island who is a psycho, and the question we almost already know will they still be okay if Amnesia isn't Sadie? I'm pretty sure yes they will be just fine, but it would be better if she was Sadie to end a lot of what ifs. I mean I have a lot of things that go with that. So if you want go to the library and get this book or you can get it you can purchase them from here the link below.
